The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a long-standing San Leandro tradition celebrating our past, present and future! Many things have changed over the years but one thing that remains the same is the strong sense of community identity and pride the Cherry Festival brings to the San Leandro community!

Downtown Earth Day Family Festival

APRIL 15th

11 AM – 2 PM

Families with young children are invited to the Casa Peralta (384 W. Estudillo) grounds to celebrate, honor, and learn how to protect our planet with hands-on activities, eco-story time, “Buy Nothing” toy swap, and much more. Just two blocks from Downtown San Leandro BART, plan to take earth-friendly transportation! Free parking is also available one block away at the City Parking Lot (Dan Niemi Way @ Davis St.)

The San Leandro Downtown Association invites you Downtown for the annual tree lighting, holiday performances, photos with Santa, outdoor holiday cinema, crafts for kids, and holiday market!

This family-friendly event will take place on Friday, December 2nd, from 5:30-9:00 PM.  The holiday tree lighting will be at 5:30 PM in Estudillo Plaza at Estudillo Ave at E. 14th Street, and the main event will be centered around W. Juana Avenue between E. 14th St. and Washington Avenue.

Farmer's Market

The Downtown San Leandro Farmers Market offers the best in local products— fresh produce, locally grown flowers and plants, tasty snacks, and prepared gourmet food. Every Wednesday night, residents and visitors alike can visit the Main Library at 300 Estudillo Ave. to browse street vendors, enjoy live music, and partake in a community gathering that’s fun for the whole family. The seasonal farmers market is open every Wednesday night beginning in April and lasting through mid-October from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Parking is free at the City Downtown Garage (122 Estudillo Ave.)
