150th Day of Celebration

Mark your calendars for the annual Cherry Parade (and more) on June 4th as part of the year-long celebration planned for the City’s 150th Birthday. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. in downtown, so get there early to join in the fun!

The Gathering

11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The San Leandro Historical Society will host The Gathering, a multi-cultural event filled with all things San Leandro. It will include themes of culture and heritage, food vendors, entertainment, resource booths, an art festival featuring local artists, etc.

Bistro at the Casa

The San Leandro Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Bistro at the Casa for The Gathering event and will provide food trucks and beverages.

The San Leandro History Museum will host crafts and activities for all ages in front of the Casa Peralta during The Gathering event. Activities will include roping a cow, washing clothes by hand, and creating your 150th art memorabilia. Inside the Museum will be a new exhibit that examines two specific aspects of housing discrimination throughout the nation and in San Leandro: Redlining and the development of all-white suburban neighborhoods.
